Here at Cowden's Automotive & Exhaust in Buhl we often do diagnostics and sometimes the problem is obvious after hooking the car up to the computer and reading the codes.  However, sometimes it isn't obvious during a test drive or after hooking it up to all those computer programs!  You know there is a problem and a Check Engine Light is on with the fleet customer telling you the car has been having issues starting and the light going off and on.  No pattern, no simple answer but the problem becomes obvious when you start following the "wires of the issue" thanks to all that ASE Technician training.

These wires have been chewed up and are disconnected causing the disruption.  They are not part of the main operating system thus the problem is not continuous and allowed the driver to continue his driving his route until his scheduled service visit.  The real question becomes how was it damaged and where plus by what?

In most cases, these issues are a result of rodents who have nested within the vehicle or nearby out for a jaunt looking for housing supplies.  We checked the vehicle first to ensure there were no additional passengers and finished their automotive service repairs, tuneup sending them back to their fleet route!  Here at Cowden's Automotive & Exhaust we work hard to get you back on the road quickly and efficiently using all the tools at our disposal.  Here, it is all in a day's work.
